Four visits, spread over four months.

The timeline below is what most patients follow. We compress it where we safely can; we don't rush it where we can't.

Week 1

The consultation

Examination, X-ray, and an honest conversation. We tell you whether an implant is the right answer, or if a different plan would serve you better.

Week 2–3

The placement

A single surgical visit, usually under local anaesthetic. About 60 minutes. You can drive yourself home most days.

Months 2–4

The healing

Osseo-integration — the bone fusing around the titanium. Two short check-ins to confirm it's progressing. No surgery during this stretch.

Month 4

The crown

Fitting the abutment and the custom crown. Two short visits. You leave with a tooth that looks like the others.

Is it really one plan, all included?

For a single, standard implant on a healthy jaw — yes, it's one coordinated plan from consultation to final crown. Multiple implants, complex placement, or a bone graft are different plans, and we'll talk those through at the consultation. Whatever your case needs, we put it in writing before anything begins — no add-ons mid-treatment.

Why does it take four months?

The implant needs time to fuse with the bone — that's the bit we can't compress. Some clinics offer "same-day implants" by using temporary crowns; we don't, because the failure rate is meaningfully higher. We'd rather you wait four months and have it last twenty years.

What if my jaw doesn't have enough bone?

We'll tell you on day one. A bone graft is a separate procedure with its own healing time — it's not folded silently into the implant plan. If you need it, we'll walk you through it before you commit to anything.

Will it look like a real tooth?

Yes. The crown is custom-shaded to match the colour, contour, and translucence of your other teeth — we photograph the adjacent teeth at the planning visit and the lab matches off those photos. Most patients can't pick out which one is the implant after fitting.

What's the warranty cover?

If the implant or crown fails as hardware within one year — and you've followed the basic care routine — we replace it free. We've had two warranty claims in three years; both were resolved within a week. The warranty doesn't cover damage from impact (e.g. a fall, a sporting injury) — same as your own teeth wouldn't be covered.

Can I see before-and-after photos?

At the consultation, yes — we'll show you sets from patients who've consented. Not on the public website, by patient preference. Most of our implant work is on visible teeth (incisors, premolars) — we have plenty of cases to show.

Do you offer multi-tooth or all-on-four plans?

Yes. Multi-tooth bridges (two implants supporting three teeth) and full all-on-four reconstructions are both done here. Each is planned individually around your jaw, the hardware that suits it, and any grafting needed — and we always put the full plan in writing before any work begins.
